- Abstract
- This paper presents the control and failsafe algorithm of the closed loop air suspension system on the basis of analyzing the air suspension system and understanding the vehicle dynamics. The control algorithm determines target heights from driving conditions and driver's commands and actuators including a compressor, two reversing valves, and four air spring valves to achieve the target heights. The failsafe algorithm determines the type of faults and enables appropriate failsafe actions depending on the type of faults. To verify suggested control and failsafe algorithm, the simulations and the vehicle tests are conducted.
