자발적 긱워커(Gig Worker)의 일에 대한 인식 탐색: 행위자 네트워크의 관점에서

Abstract

연구 목적: 이 연구는 자발적 긱워커들의 일의 의미를 심층 탐색하여 확장된 긱워커의 개념을 논의하고, 새로운 근로 형태를 추구하는 성인 교육의 방향성과 사회적, 경제적, 제도적 통찰력을 제공하고자 한다. 연구 방법: 이메일 면담과 1:1 심층면담을 통한 질적 사례 연구를 실시하였다. 연구 내용: 자발적 긱워커가 생각하는 일의 의미, 삶의 만족 및 행위자 네트워크적 특징들을 살펴보았다. 결론 및 제언: 기존의 개념으로는 우리 사회의 다양한 형태의 자발적 긱워커들을 충분히 정의할 수 없으며, 이들이 가진 일에 대한 인식과 긱워킹 현상은 기질, 흥미, 정체성과 연관이 있었음을 밝혔다. 또한 자발적 긱워커들은 여러 가지 일을 하고 있는 것에 대해 전반적인 만족감을 느꼈으며 이는 ANT의 관점으로 보았을 때 이들이 속해 있는 네트워크 속에서 현시대의 상황과 맞물려 더욱 강한 결속 관계를 맺기 때문인 것으로 드러났다. 본 연구를 통해 일의 의미와 확장된 긱워커에 대한 개념이 규명된다면 향후 성인 교육의 방향성과 노동시장의 사회적, 경제적 제도 개선에 대한 통찰력을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

This study discusses the concept of extended gig workers by exploring in-depth the meaning of voluntary gig workers’ work, and provides social, economic, and institutional insights into adult education pursuing new forms of work. As a research method for this, qualitative case studies were conducted through e-mail interviews and 1:1 in-depth interviews, and the results of the study revealed that the meaning of work, life satisfaction, and network characteristics of voluntary gig workers cannot be defined by the existing definition of gig workers. In addition, their perception of what they had and the phenomenon of gig working were related to temperament, interest, and identity. The voluntary gig workers who participated in the study felt overall satisfaction with doing various things, which turned out to be a stronger bond in line with the current situation in the network to which they belong from ANT’s point of view. If the meaning of work and the concept of expanded gig workers are identified through this study, it will be possible to provide insight into the direction of adult education and the improvement of the social and economic system of the labor market in the future.
