- Abstract
- Printed Circuit Board (PCB) is a major component of the electronic device and it has been used in a diverse and extreme environment such as the data center near the coast. In this study, a simulation model was used to predict the corrosion lifetime of PCBs in marine atmospheric environments. The corrosion model was devised considering the dimensions of the PCB, biased voltage, and salt atmospheric environments. To prove the validity of the proposed model, a salt spray corrosion acceleration test was conducted. Finally, the corrosion life equations of the PCBs according to geometrical and environmental factors were proposed.
