- Abstract
- This study conducted determining the range of the intermediate heat exchanger temperature value of the multi-functional cascade heat pump system according to the design conditions of the residential building. In addition, the system performance and energy consumption according to the intermediate temperature change were analyzed. A residential building was set to 100m2 area. The thermal load of building was calculated by TRNSYS program. The thermodynamic equation and the EnergyPlus model equation were used for system analysis. The result showed that the optimal temperature range of the intermediate heat exchanger was 55℃~61℃ by various building design constraint. Since the energy consumption of the low-cycle compressor was dominant, the proposed system should be set to indoor unit conditions.
