- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of social support of athletes on college life adaptation and career decision-making self-efficacy. The subjects of this study were college student soccer, basketball, volleyball and baseball athletes and a survey was conducted on 423 athletes. A total of 414 questionnaires were used for the analysis and the results derived by conducting frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, T-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis and hierarchical regression analysis using SPSS 27.0 and AMOS 29.0 programs are as follows. First, it was found that informational support had an effect on social and personal emotional adaptation and emotional and material support had a significant effect on academic adaptation. Second, evaluative and emotional support influenced self-evaluation and evaluative, informational and material support was found to have a significant effect on goal setting. In addition, all factors of social support influenced career planning and material support was found to have a significant effect on problem solving. Third, it was found that personal emotional and academic adaptation influenced self-evaluation and social, personal emotional and academic adaptation had a significant effect on goal setting. In addition, social and personal emotional adaptation influenced career planning and social, personal emotional and academic adaptation had a significant effect on problem solving.
