Abstract
The purpose of this study was to provide a national direction for the revitalization of women's life sports in the future. For accomplishing the purpose, this study was to examine the background of the times, such as the policies and ideologies of daily sports and the development process of women's sports in Korea from various angles in Korea from 1980 to the present. In the 1980s, Korean sports policy reached a turning point. With the start of the 1981 Summer Olympics in Seoul. Interest in daily sports and, among other things, women's participation in sports has become recognized as an essential cultural activity in their daily lives. In the 1990s compared to the previous era, the national interest in life sports activities increased due to the increase in the national standard of living and leisure time. Life sports activities have clearly established themselves in terms of the health of the people and the use of leisure time. In the 2000s, people's perception of daily sports changed as the five-day workweek was fully implemented. The women's participation in sports for the first time (62.8%) surpassed men (61.6%). These images were established in the 2000s, and female sports fans actively intervened in the process of creating their own sports culture and became a popular sports culture for women. The activation of women's sports should start with, among other things, the perception that sports are the most common and everyday. Therefore, the goal should be to improve the quality of life of women through living physical education by providing them with knowledge and experience of the effects of living physical education so that women can see new and give new meaning to their activities that they have not experienced in their daily lives.
