Abstract
The duplex three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is often driven with the harmonic elimination control to suppress the current distortion. But, it is difficult to predict actual control performance with the conventional analysis method. So, this paper proposes a concept of the effective voltage coefficient which is the voltage ratio for torque generation to the input DC voltage. First, the flux linkage, calculated by the finite element analysis, is separated with average and harmonics of the flux linkage through the vector space decomposition(VSD) and dq transformation. Then, the effective voltage coefficient is obtained through simple postprocessing. The effective voltage coefficient map, which is calculated according to load conditions, is reflected to the conventional characteristic analysis. It allows to predict accurate electric performance of the duplex three-phase PMSM considering the actual control situation. The experimental validation will be performed in the future work.
