Abstract
본 연구는 전생애설계 프로그램 대학생 참여자들의 직업적응과정에서 나타난 경험을 심층적으로 탐구하고자 질적연구방법을 활용하여 2014년 K대학에서 진행된 전생애설계프로그램에 참여한 6명의 참여자를 대상으로 참여 경험을 추적하여 인터뷰를 실시하였으며 주제분석을 활용하여 총 161개 코드, 12개 범주, 5개의 핵심 주제를 도출하였다. 연구 결과, Actor 단계에서는 ‘역할 혼재’와 ‘어려움에 대처하고 역할을 수행하는 과정’이 주요 주제로 도출되었으며, Agent 단계에서는 ‘정체성의 재구성과 삶의 통합’, ‘자기조절 강화’가 나타났다. 마지막으로 Author 단계에서는 ‘생애주제 수렴을 통한 주체적 진로구성’이 핵심 주제로 도출되었다. 이를 통해 참여자들은 직업 준비와 적응 과정 속에서 역할 충돌을 경험하면서도 성찰과 실천을 통해 정체성을 재구성하고, 자기조절을 강화하며, 궁극적으로 삶의 의미를 확장해 가는 발달적 과정을 보였다. 이 연구는 청년층의 초기 진로전환 과정과 진로구성주의 상담의 개입 효과를 국내 맥락에서 실증적으로 밝히는 데 의의가 있다.
This study aimed to explore in depth the experiences of university students as they navigated the process of work adjustment after participating in a Life-Design Program. Using a qualitative research approach, the study conducted follow-up interviews with six participants who took part in the program at K University in 2014. The data were analyzed through thematic analysis, yielding 161 codes, 12 categories, and 5 core themes. The findings indicated that, at the Actor stage, the major themes were “role conflict (role hybridity)” and “coping with difficulties while carrying out expected roles.” At the Agent stage, the themes of “reconstruction of identity and life integration” and “strengthening of self-regulation” were identified. Finally, at the Author stage, the core theme was “constructing a self-directed career path through the convergence of life theme.” Overall, the participants experienced role-related tensions during career preparation and adjustment, yet through reflection and practice, they reconstructed their identities, strengthened their capacity for self-regulation, and ultimately expanded the meaning of their lives.This study is significant in that it empirically elucidates, within the Korean context, young adults’early career transition processes and the effects of career construction–based counseling interventions.
