구성자료분석법(CDA)을 이용한 콘텐츠산업 부분별 성장 분석 및 예측

Abstract

본 연구에서는 국내 최초로 구성자료분석법(CDA: Compositional Data Analysis)를 사용하여 콘텐츠 산업의 전체적인 성장은 물론 콘텐츠 산업의 각 11개 장르 분야에 대한 시장규모를 전망한다. 분석결과 콘텐츠산업은 빠르게 성장해온 과거의 추세에서 벗어나 성장이 점차 감소할 것으로 예상된다. 명목 국내총생산이 내수시장에 큰 영향을 미치는 바 국내 경제성장율의 저하가 콘텐츠 산업의 성장에도 다분히 영향을 미치는 것이다. 한편 콘텐츠 산업의 매출이 증가함에 따라 고용도 증가하나, 그 증가폭은 크지 않다. 따라서 콘텐츠 산업의 성장과 함께, 고용의 확대로 이어질 수 있는 정책적 노력이 필요하다. 아울러, 모바일사용자수 증감율이 콘텐츠 산업의 매출, 고용, 수출, 수입 증가율 모두에 양(+)의 영향을 미치며, 이 중 수출 증가율을 제외한 나머지에 대한 영향은 통계적으로도 유의하다는 점을 주목할 필요가 있다. 다만 모바일사용자수의 증가는 인구 동학을 고려할 때 장기적으로 한계가 있을 수 있다.

In this paper, we analyzed 11 sub-genres within the contents industry as well as the overall growth of the contents & culture industry using Compositional Data Analysis(CDA) for the first time in the economics and business field in Korea. Our findings are as follows. The contents & culture industry is expected to gradually trail off from the past rapid and volatile growth trend is has experienced. The decline in the domestic economic growth is expected to affect the growth of the content & culture industry. In this study, it is difficult to identify the link or relationship between sales and employment in the content & culture industryso a government policy that can lead to the expansion of employment along with the growth of the content industry is required. There is a close relationship between the use of mobile phones and the sales, employment and exports in the content & culture industry. For each genre forecast, it is expected that the sector of publishing will decline in sales, employment and export. It is worth noting the case of Amazon in the US. If policy support is needed for the publishing industry, it is desirable to encourage creativity and innovation in the field of publishing. This study has a methodological contribution. First, this study is the first attempt and study inthe application of CDA technique in the field of domestic economics and business. Secondly, to choose a desirable prediction model, we do not employ the information criterion, which is the theoretical statistical index for an out-of-sample forecast, but the method of simulating realistic forecasts, i.e. pseudo out-of-sample forecast technique.
