- Abstract
- The AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking) control system is designed by considering driving conditions such as different road friction and road slope. When the AEB system is operated on slippery and/or sloped road, vehicle stopping distance is varied and, thus, the control strategy of AEB algorithm needs to be adapted. Assuming that real-time information of the road friction and slope are provided, their effects on the emergency braking performance are investigated. The control strategy for incorporating their effects are designed using the adaptive control technique. The proposed algorithm is validated in simulations.
