- Abstract
- 서예는 과거로부터 내려오는 글자체의 필법과 이론을 말한다. 한글 활자 ‘자본(字本)’이 서예가가 붓으로 쓰는 방식에서 디자이너가 디지털로 그리는 방식으로 변모하면서 한글 활자 디자인 분야에서 전통 서예에 관한 이론이 많이 사라진 실정이다. 이 연구는 서예가들의 이론을 통해 바탕체의 공간을 분석한다. 바탕체는 가장 널리 쓰이는 현대 본문용 활자체 계열을 뜻한다. 근현대 활자 디자이너 최정호, 최정순 등에 의해 구축된 바탕체에 담긴 전통 서예의 원리를 서예 이론을 통해 분석했다.
