- Abstract
- 마르턴 판 헤임스케르크의 <신들의 창조물을 비판하는 모무스>는 형식이나 내용에 있어 인문주의적 특징을 드러내는 대표적 작품에 속한다. 모무스는 이 그림에서 이전에 주장되었듯이 용기 있는 비평이라는 긍정적 의미보다는 무분별한 비판의 반대 의미로서의 관용 개념을 전달하는 듯하며 이로써 네덜란드의 기독교 인문주의와 연결되어 있는 것으로 보인다.
