Abstract

It's a known fact to tell the same age is very harsh. Knowledge is, in a way, defined after conclusion or termination. It can be said only with facing known or knowing about it. An accurate analysis of the present progressive trend would be a potent influence of present being and future condition.Maximalism, meaming of 'the most', becomes new expression of sansation of showing off the propensity. Following it, as a changing moment, the aesthetics of'maximalistic' is reviving with the meaning of going back. Maximalism is based on a aesthetic point of view of 'the bigger is the the bigger'or 'the larger is more beautiful'. For not just making big space without any concept, we ought to study true maximalism style. Knowing history about trend is a begining of understanding maximalism. Especially, understanding minimalism, represented by a contrary concept, is the key of defining maximalism. From the end of 20c, maximalism made a strong comeback after minimalism and based on glocalism, fusion and extremism. The expression of maximalism style could be conclude by the analysis of background of society and culture and the flow of trend. The visual expressions could be variety, repeat, abnormality and sensitive presentation. The conceptual expressions could be cultural plualism, recurrence, nonstandard and sensuous emotion. This study is purposed to set up and reflect the sprit and essence of maximalism to space decoration.
