Abstract

In the circumstances where well-being has a popular cultural trend and healing has been generalized and popularized in line of its necessity, healing has become the universal tendency in society. With a rapid rise in the social interest in healing, the necessity for research on healing has been expanded. In particular, healing and space has become critical study themes. Regarding the domestic research on healing space, it began to be studies in 2000. Since 2005, the theme has been researched on a full scale. It was analyzed that doctoral dissertations of comprehensive research on healing space have been published since 2010. Given the analysis, since the social interest in healing in 2000, it has been more meaningful as a new research area. Nevertheless, there is a lack of the accuracy of the concept of healing and space factors which are also copied from theses to theses. Therefore, it is necessary to establish the concept through literature research on healing and integrate healing space factors from a new point of view. Therefore, this study conducted literature analysis on healing space factors so as to establish a theory of healing space. With regard to the characteristics of research process, research on healing has actively been carried out, and consequently there have been many literatures of healing. Given many contents of healing, it is necessary to establish a new theory for existing research results and create a research material. Despite the maximized importance of healing space, there is a lack of detailed research on theories, though there is a quantitative increase in relevant studies. In the circumstance, it is required to survey and analyze theoretical contents of healing space on the basis of literature research, summarize research trends and contents systematically to find the research flow and features overall, and thereby integrate theoretical contents of healing space. As a result, the results of this study can be used as a research material for healing space.
