- Abstract
- 본 논문은 단편영화와 장편영화의 캐릭터들의 차이를 파악하고, 그 캐릭터들이 단편에서 장편으로 발전되는 과정의 양상을 고찰한다. 단편영화의 캐릭터가 장편영화에서 재탄생될 때, 극을 이끌어갈 인물들이 어떻게 다차원적 인물로 구성되고 확장되는지 대하여 알아보는 것이 본 논문의 초점이다. 그래서 구조적 맥락과 주인공이 처한 상황이 유사한, 크리스 마르케(Chris Marker)의 실험 영화 <라제떼(La jetée), 1962>와 테리 길리엄(Terry Gilliam) 감독의 헐리우드 장편영화 <12마리 원숭이(12 Monkeys), 1995>를 선정하였다. 이 두 영화의 유비적 고찰을 통하여, 단편영화의 캐릭터가 장편영화의 캐릭터로 확장되는 과정을 밝히는 것은, 캐릭터와 내러티브의 발전 양상을 논하는 의의를 가진다.
