성폭력에 대한 인식에 관한 연구 -사회문화적 관점을 중심으로-

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine attitudes toward sexual assault and to identify socio-cultural factors that contribute to internalize those attitudes. Using a census-based sampling frame, the study surveyed 2,037 adults with a structured questionnaire in 2006. To answer research questions proposed by the study, descriptive statistics and regression analysis were conducted. Analysis reveals that there are significant differences on attitudes toward sexual assault by gender, age, and education level (p<.001). Also, study shows that socio-cultural factors have an effect on attitudes toward sexual assault, after accounting for influences of other variables. Findings of the study help us formulate knowledge basis to intervene for issues regarding sexual assault and also provide us implications to develop social work services and programs for the target population.
