Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze major keywords and social phenomena related to the ‘Short-Form’ using news articles and derive important information in order to analyze new leisure trends and use them as basic data for developing content for leisure sports short forms to adapt to the rapidly changing leisure environment. To achieve this purpose, data were collected and analyzed using BIG KINDS, a news analysis system provided by the Korea Press Promotion Foundation. Frequency analysis, relationship map analysis, and related word analysis were conducted on 3,518 news cases for about 4 years from January 2020 to October 2023, targeting a total of 54 media outlets, and the results are as follows. First, as a result of trend analysis related to ‘Short-Form’ in 2020, keywords such as video content, web dramas, and secondary characters could be identified. Second, as a result of trend analysis related to ‘Short-Form’ in 2021, keywords such as carbon neutrality, collaboration, and dance challenges could be identified. Third, as a result of analyzing trends related to ‘Short-Form’ in 2022, keywords such as Busan, Seongju-gun, Seongnam-si, and video dance challenges could be identified. Fourth, as a result of analyzing trends related to ‘Short-Form’ in 2023, keywords such as contest, virtual human, and marketing activities could be identified.
