Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore the implications of dance literacy for fostering values of dance education. Thus, the following issues are discussed. First, the concept of dance literacy must be understood in a macroscopic perspective. Second, the creative cooperation of police makers, researchers, educators in arts must be based on dance literacy. Third, it is needed to expand the practical meaning of dance literacy, beyond the limits of school education. Fourth, the concept of dance literacy is useful to strengthen the integrative thinking on dance education.
