- Abstract
This study investigates the effect of audience’s prior knowledge on his/her satisfaction, commitment, and loyalty toward performance, focused on musical performance. Prior knowledge is measured by objective knowledge and experience, and loyalty is measured by intention of revisiting and recommendation, based on model specifications in previous studies. A total of 245 reponses were collected from the audience who visits the Choong-moo theater to watch the musical Frankenstein. For the data, a structural equation model was estimated using AMOS. Main findings were as follow. First, audience’s experience had no effect on performance commitment and satisfaction, but audience’s objective knowledge had statistically significant effects on performance commitment and satisfaction. Second, it was identified that audience’s commitment toward performance had a significant effect on satisfaction. Finally, his/her satisfaction of performance affected positively on loyalty toward the performance.
