학습권 보장제와 연계된 학생선수 학습지원 프로그램 활용 방안

Abstract

학생선수들의 학습권 보장을 위한 프로그램의 필요성과 그에 관한 정책 및 제도 연구에 비하여 현장에서 쓰일 수 있는 구체적인 학생선수를 위한 학습지원 프로그램에 관한 연구는 미약한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 2015년 현재 전국에서 시행되고 있는 시‧도별 학생선수 학습지원 프로그램들을 분석하고, 우수사례를 도출하며, 현장 학교에서 활용할 수 있는 방안과 과제를 제시하고자 하였다. 이러한 과정을 바탕으로 교육청 지침과 학교에서 현재 운영하고 있는 프로그램들의 내용을 분석한 결과 우수사례로 ‘맞춤형 멘토링 프로그램’, ‘학생선수 학업관리 시스템’, ‘스포츠 붐 조성을 통한 운동부 인식 제고’, ‘전문 상담센터 활용을 통한 학생선수 관리’, ‘온라인 가정학습 학습지원 프로그램과의 연계’ 들을 제시할 수 있었다. 학습지원 프로그램의 활용방안으로는 현재 시행하고 있는 프로그램들의 표준화가 절실하며, 도출된 프로그램이 현장에서 잘 적용될 수 있도록 지도자의 인식을 변화시킬 수 있는 가이드라인과 교육 프로그램이 필요하다. 또한 초등학교부터 적용되어 운동부 문화로 정착될 수 있도록 장기적인 계획이 필요하고, 학생선수가 학습할 수 있는 시간을 제도적으로 보장해주어야 한다.

There are studies that demonstrate the need for Educational Rights Guarantee Programs and analyze the relevant policies and systems. However despite such studies, research developing Educational Support Programs for student athletes is lacking. Consequently, the aim of this study was to analyze the current Education Rights Guarantee Programs that are in motion as of 2015 and to draw upon a few successful cases. As a result of analyzing the current programs, there were some of the successful cases; ‘individualized mentoring’, ‘academic supervision’, ‘raising awareness through fostering a sports boom environment’, ‘professional counseling centers for student athlete management’ and ‘partnerships with online home-schooling education support programs’. Standardization of these successful programs is crucial to helping student athletes utilize. Also, in order to adjust school faculty members' perceptions regarding Educational support programs and to successfully implement these programs in the field, the faculty must be provided with a better understanding through education and specific guidelines for each program. Furthermore, making long term plans need to be put in place. These Educational Support Programs should be applied starting from primary school so that these programs become an integral part of the students’ athletic careers and guarantee student athletes an academic learning environment.
