평생교육기관의 교육서비스 품질이 학습자 행동의도에 미치는 영향과 학습자만족 및 관계몰입의 매개효과

Abstract

평생학습자의 증가로 인해 학습 수요에 부응하는 교육을 제공하는 것이 중요해짐에 따라 최근 평생교육기관들은 교육서비스 품질을 통한 학습자 만족도를 향상시키기 위래 노력을 다하고 있다. 이러한 맥락에서 본 연구는 평생교육기관의 학습자를 대상으로 교육서비스품질, 학습자 만족, 관계몰입이 학습자 행동의도에 미치는 영향을 파악하고, 학습자 만족과 관계몰입을 매개로 하여 교육서비스품질이 학습자 행동의도에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 검증하는데 목적을 두었다. 서울, 경기, 인천지역의 평생교육기관의 프로그램에 참여하여 학습하고 있는 성인학습자들을 대상으로 총 280부의 설문지를 배포하여 246부를 분석에 사용하였다. 분석을 위해 빈도분석, 기술통계, t검정, 일원변량분석, 상관분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과에 따르면 평생교육기관의 교육서비스품질, 학습자 만족, 관계몰입이 학습자 행동의도에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과 대부분 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 주목할 것은, 평생교육기관의 교육서비스품질이 학습자의 행동의도에 관계에서 학습자의 관계몰입은 매개효과가 없는 것으로 나타났으나, 학습자 만족은 유의한 매개효과를 보이는 것으로 검증되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 평생교육기관에 대한 학습자들의 욕구를 파악하고 평생교육기관이 교육서비스품질을 높일 수 있는 시사점을 제공하였다.

An increase of lifelong learners has made educational institutions focus on their quality of educational service as one of the ways to improve learners’ satisfaction. In this regard, this study aims to examine the impact of education service quality of lifelong education institutions on learner satisfaction, relationship commitment, and the learners’ behavior intention. Especially, the study verified the mediating effect of relationship commitment between educational service quality and behavior intention and learner satisfaction. A total of 246 adult learners, who have enrolled in lifelong learning institutions at Seoul and Gyeonggi province, participated in questionnaire survey. The following results were found. Firstly, there were positive relationships between education service quality, learners’ satisfaction and relationship commitment on the learners’ behavior intention. Secondly, learners’ satisfaction had a mediating effect between education service quality and behavior intention. The study has given recommendations on how to improve learners’ behavior intention and satisfaction by enhancing educational service quality of lifelong learning institutions.
