Abstract
본 연구는 서울시 소재 한 사립대학의 사범대학 학생들을 대상으로 하여, 사범대학 입학 결정 계기, 교직 지향성, 임용고사 지원 희망 여부에 대해 탐구하고, 입학전형별(입학사정관제, 수시, 정시)로 차이가 나타나는지를 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 정량적 연구 방법과 정성적 연구 방법을 함께 시행하는 혼합 연구법을 사용했으며, 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사범대학 입학 결정 계기로 작용하는 요인은 내재적 동기, 주위의 권유, 현실수용적 태도로 밝혀졌으며, 내재적 동기는 입학사정관제로 입학한 학생들 사이에서, 현실수용적 태도는 정시로 입학한 학생들에게 더 크게 작용했음을 파악할 수 있었다. 둘째, 교직을 추구하고자 하는 이유로는 적성 적합도, 이타적 동기, 직업안정성, 주위의 권유 요인이 있었다. 입학사정관제로 입학한 학생의 경우 적성 적합도와 이타적 동기가 더욱 높게 작용하는 것으로 나타났고, 정시 전형으로 입학한 학생의 경우 이타적 동기의 추구가 나타났지만, 입학사정관제 학생들보다 직업안정성을 교직을 지향하는 이유로 더 많이 추구하였다. 셋째, 사범대학 학생들의 임용고사 지원 희망 여부에 대한 결과로는 입학사정관제로 입학한 학생들이 교직 지향성을 비교적 더 높게 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과와 더불어, 본고에서 입학전형을 더욱 효과적으로 개발하고 추진하기 위한 방안이 제안되었다.
This study was conducted with college of education students at a private university located in Seoul. The research focus was on the possible differences in the initial motive for why the students chose college of education and decide to become a teacher based on three university admission types (admission officer system, rolling admission, and regular admission). Also, it was investigated whether they are willing to take the National Teacher Certification Examination (NTCE). The results indicated that, for those who were accepted through admission officer system, intrinsic motivation had a more dominant role in the choice of their undergraduate major. On the other hand, those who were accepted through regular admission tended to choose it based on the results of College Scholastic Ability Test, indicating their tendency of acquiescing in the reality. Also, altruistic motive functioned as a influential initial career motive for the participants regardless of admission types. However, job security was more highly valued by those who were accepted through regular admission than admission officer system. An aptitude for teaching job was more highly regarded as an influential career motive by those who were accepted through admission officer system than regular admission. Finally, those who were accepted through admission officer system showed overall higher willingness to take the NTCE. Based on the results, implications regarding university admission types and their features were suggested.
