- Abstract
- 본 연구는 수확 전 수체살포용 1-MCP(S1-MCP) 처리가 ‘후지’ 사과의 저온저장중 과실 품질과 세포벽 대사에 미치는 영향을 구명하고자 수행되었다. 과실 경도는 무처리구가 수확 시 62.3N에서 저장 180일후에 55.3N로 감소하였다. 그러나 수확 2,3주전 250mg·L-1 S1-MCP 처리 과실들은 저장 180일 후에도 60N 수준으로 높은 경도를 유지하였다. 무처리 과실의 산함량은수확 시 0.36%에서 저장 180일후에 0.19%로 급격히 감소하였으나, 수확 2주전 S1-MCP 125와 250 mg·L-1 처리 과실들은0.32-0.33%로 높게 유지되었다. 내생 에틸렌 발생량은 무처리 과실에서 저장 180일후에 326.4μL·L-1로 크게 증가하였으나,250mg·L-1 S1-MCP의 수확 2, 3주전 처리 과실들은 17.9와 32.4μL·L-1로 매우 낮은 경향을 보였다. 세포벽 중층의 구성물질인uronic acid 함량은 저장 180일 후에 S1-MCP 처리 과실은 301.47μg·mg-1·AIS-1 이상으로 무처리 과실의 271.72μg·mg-1·AIS-1에 비하여 높았다. 그리고 세포벽 분해효소들 중 α-와 β-galactosidase 활성이 저장기간동안 S1-MCP처리 과실들이 무처리 과실에 비하여 그 활성이 현저히 낮은 경향을 보였다.
This study was carried out to investigate the effects of a pre-harvest treatment with sprayable1-methylcyclopropene (S1-MCP) on fruit quality and cell wall metabolism during cold storage of‘Fuji’ apples (Malus domestica Borkh). Three different treatments, 95, 125, and 250 mg·L-1S1-MCP, applied at 1, 2, or 3 weeks before harvest, were used in this study. Fruit firmness ofuntreated fruit decreased from 62.3 Newton (N) at harvest to 55.3 N at 180 days after storage.
However, a treatment with 250 mg·L-1 S1-MCP at 2 or 3 weeks before harvest maintained a highflesh firmness of 60 N even after 180 days of cold storage. The titratable acidity (TA) of untreatedfruit decreased rapidly from 0.36% at harvest to 0.19% at 180 days after storage, but the 125 and250 mg·L-1 S1-MCP treatment at 2 weeks before storage maintained the TA at 0.32-0.33% after 180days of cold storage. The internal ethylene concentration was significantly increased to 326.4μL·L-1 after 180 days of storage in untreated fruit, but it remained very low (17.3 and 32.4 μL·L-1)after storage when fruit were treated with 250 mg·L-1 S1-MCP at 2 and 3 weeks before harvest,respectively. The uronic acid content, which is a component of the cell wall middle lamella, inalcohol insoluble material (AIS) was higher (301.47 μg·mg-1·AIS-1) in the S1-MCP treated fruitafter 180 days of storage compared to the untreated fruit (271.72 μg·mg-1·AIS-1). The activities ofα- and β-galactosidase in cell wall hydrolases were significantly lower in S1-MCP treated fruit thanin the untreated fruit after 180 days of storage.
