Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of physical activities based on verse on young children’s language expression ability and physical self-concept. The subjects used in this experimental study were 42 young children whose mean age is 67.38 months from two classes in a children’s center. Two classes were assigned to an experimental group and a comparative group. ‘Preschool Receptive-Expressive Language Scale: PRES’ and ‘Young Children’s Self-Concept Inventory’ were used in this study in collection of the data and a t-test was used to analyze the data. Finally, it was reveal that there are significant differences in the post-test scores of young children’s language expressive ability and physical self-concept between the experimental and comparative group. The results of this study indicate that the physical activities based on verse is effective in promoting young children's language expressive ability and physical self-concept.
