진로결정 수준이 구직활동의 효율성, 첫 직장의 개인-직무 부합 및 직무만족에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구는 대학 졸업자들의 재학 중 진로결정 수준이 구직활동의 효율성과 처음으로 입사한 직장의 개인-직무 부합 및 직무 만족에 미치는 효과를 검증하였다. 연구 결과 원서 제출 횟수는 진로 결정 수준에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었으나 면접 횟수와 입사 제의 횟수에는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 구직효율성(원서제출 횟수 대비 면접 횟수 그리고 입사 제의 횟수의 비율)은 진로 결정 수준이 높을 때 유의미하게 높았다. 또한 진로결정 수준이 높을수록 첫 직장에서의 개인-직무 부합과 직무 만족이 유의하게 증가하는 것으로 나타났으며, 개인-직무 부합은 진로결정 수준과 직무만족 간의 관계를 부분적으로 매개하였다. 이는 대학생들의 진로결정 수준이 높을수록 효율적인 구직활동이 가능하고, 첫 직장에서의 개인-직무 부합도와 직무만족이 높아 잦은 이직을 피할 수 있으며 이에 따라 개인의 경력개발에도 도움이 될 수 있다는 것을 시사해 주고 있다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the level of career decision making on person-job fit, job satisfaction for the first job and effectiveness of job search activities. 1,569 cases of GOMS data were utilized for regression analysis. Results indicated that the effectiveness of job search activities was significantly different depending on the career decision levels. It was also found that the career decision level was a significant predictor for person-job fit and job satisfaction for the first job and that person-job fit significantly predicted job satisfaction. In addition, person-job fit have mediating effect on the relation between career decision level and job satisfaction. These results suggest that the higher the career decision levels, the more effective job search activities would be, which in turn produce higher person-job fit and job satisfaction.
