교사의 학습공동체가 수업효과성에 미치는 영향분석: 교사와 학생의 인식 비교를 중심으로

Abstract

본 연구는 최근 교사 전문성 향상 및 학생의 학습 증진에 효과적인 제도로 간주되고 있는 교사의 학습공동체에 주목하여, 이러한 교사학습공동체가 교사 및 학생이 인식하는 수업효과성에 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 실증적으로 분석할 목적으로 수행되었다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해「서울교육종단연구」 제 7차년도 일반고등학교 데이터 가운데 학생과 교사 집단 각각 1,945명의 응답자료를 토대로 기술통계와 위계적 회귀분석방법을 활용하여 교사학습공동체 및 수업효과성에 대한 인식 수준, 그리고 교사학습공동체와 수업효과성에 대한 인식 간의 영향관계를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 교사의 학습공동체와 교사 및 학생이 인식하는 수업효과성의 수준은 보통이었으나, 수업공개 등 일부 실천적 활동에 대해서는 교사들의 인식이 다소 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 교사들의 학습공동체는 교사들이 인식하는 수업효과성에는 긍정적 영향을 미치는 반면, 학생들이 인식하는 수업효과성에는 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타나 교사와 학생 간 인식격차가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이상 연구결과를 토대로 교사학습공동체가 교사의 변화에서 한 발 더 나아가서 학생의 학습과 성취에 실질적인 영향을 미칠 수 있도록 활성화되어야 한다는 제언과 함께 연구의 한계를 극복하기 위한 후속연구를 제시하였다.

This study seeks to analyze the effects of the teacher learning community on the teaching effectiveness from both teacher and student perspectives. We carried out descriptive statistics and hierarchical regression analysis in order to analyze the data from 1,945 students and teachers in general high schools in Seoul, which was collected by SELS authority. The findings are as follows: First, the level of teacher learning community and general teaching effectiveness perceived by teachers were moderate. However, areas requiring more intensive teacher collaboration such as opening classes showed relatively lower responses. Second, the teacher learning community did not have a statistically significant impact on the students’ perception of teaching effectiveness, while it did affect on the teachers’ perception. Based on the findings, we suggested that teacher learning communities should move beyond in order to close the gap between teacher and student perceptions on teaching effectiveness. We also proposed a further study to overcome the limitations of the study.
