사회서비스 비영리조직들의 협력 패턴에 대한 탐색적 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 거시적 관점에서 협력 연결망의 구조적 특징과 연결망에서 중요한 역할을 하는 조직의 특징을 탐색적으로 살펴보기 위하여 미국 피츠버그시 사회서비스 비영리조직들 간의 협력 패턴을 분석한다. 여러 가지 협력관계의 구조적 연결특성을 알아보기 위하여 본 연구는 사회연결망 분석을 사용하였다. 협력의 구조적인 패턴을 분석한 결과 협력의 종류에 따라 독특한 형태의 연결망 구조가 나타났다. 또한 연결망에서 교환의 흐름에 있어서 전략적으로 중요한 위치를 차지하는 조직이 나타났다(중추조직과 중재자조직). 이러한 결과를 일반화하는 것은 한계가 있지만, 본 연구는 사회 서비스 공급을 하는 비영리조직간 협력의 전략적 접근을 위한 방안모색 및 미래 연구를 위한 기초 자료를 제공한다는 점에서 의의를 갖는다.

This study explores hidden patterns of collaboration among human service nonprofit organizations in Pittsburgh. This study produces two significant findings with the help of a social network analysis: First, differences of collaborative relationships result in different structural patterns of networks. Second, network analysis reveals two types of strategically significant actors who play a hub and broker role in the networks. The contribution of this study is not only to add knowledge to existing literature but also to provide researchable hypotheses for future studies.
