Abstract

Increased globalization by multinational corporations has prompted consideration of outsourcing logistics service to third party logistics firms, which increased recognition of logistics as a source of potential competitive advantage by companies. With the increasing recognition of logistics information technology as a core tool in enhancing their competitiveness while saving cost and upgrading logistics service quality, logistics information technology is essential to most logistics industry. The objective of this paper is to contribute to the globalization of domestic third party logistics company by providing literature necessary to determine the benchmarking model for globalization by grasping the present situation and establishing strategy through comparative analysis of domestic third party logistics company and global third party logistics company.
