- Abstract
- With increase of the global management by multinational enterprises, global supply chain management has become of importance. Extended logistics channels in sourcing, manufacturing and marketing globally have led to manage supply chain more integrated on the global base. Electronics and electrical industry in Korea, one of the leading export industries has been rapidly internationalized while making foreign investment around world. The study aims to investigate the factors affecting the introduction of GSCM(Global Supply Chain Management) to Korean electric and electronic corporations by the questionnaire survey. Seven hypotheses were set up in order to find out the introductory factors of GSCM such as size of firms" size, experience of overseas activities, global supply chain structure, global logistics strategy, relations between firms" size and global logistics strategy, optimization of information sharing, relations between global integration and optimization of information sharing etc. Among the seven, all hypotheses were adopted except one hypothesis, relations between firms" size and global logistics strategy. Therefore we can conclude that most of the factors mentioned above were critically important in introducing the GSCM in Korean electric and electronic corporations.
