- Abstract
- This study is to assess the quality of life, career satisfaction, and their influencing factors perceived by employees of Kangwon Land, a leading corporation in regional tourism development. The study results can be summarized as follows. First, the employees have poor awareness of local public service quality in terms of safety, education, and economic culturel conditions. In particular, they estimate lowly on facilities for private and lifelong education, shopping, culture and healthcare. Second, the employees have relatively a heavy workload and cared for poorly by the company, which in turn lowers employees' job satisfaction, strengthens their turnover intention and undermines the quality of life. More specifically, the poor working conditions affect turnover intention, and the heavy workload influences the quality of life. Third, economic culture conditions of the local public services influence the employees' quality of life, and the job satisfaction and turnover intention have a partial effect on their quality of life.
