- Abstract
- CaCu3Ti4O12 ceramic has a crystal structure of perovskite type, and it exhibits high relative dielectric permittivity and moderate loss tangent. We investigate the dependence of its abnormally high relative dielectric permittivity, of the order of 10(3)-10(4), on the sintering conditions. Due to its relatively high dielectric properties, this material can be employed in various kinds of applications that include capacitors and energy storage elements. Therefore, it is very important to optimize the processing conditions to increase the relative dielectric permittivity. In this research, we analyzed and reported the dependence of electrical and structural properties of CaCu3Ti4O12 on the sintering temperature employed for processing the ceramic.
