노인요양시설 입소를 위한 선택에 영향을 미치는 결정요인에 대한 연구 -강원도 군·면단위 시설 보호자 중심으로-

Abstract

본 연구에서는 시설을 이용하는 수급자들의 보호자를 대상으로 이를 선택함에 있어 우선시 하는 결정요인이 무엇인지 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 강원도 군･면단위 농촌지역 노인요양시설에 수급자를 모시고 있는 실질적 보호자를 엄선하여 참여자를 선정한 후 개별 심층인터뷰와 그룹인터뷰를 통한 질적 연구방법을 사용하였다. Van Manen(1990)에 따른 분석과정을 통해 연구 참여자들이 구술하는 의미를 파악하고 이해하며 해석하였다. 그 결과 시설을 선택하는 결정요인을 크게 외부적 요인과 내부적 요인으로 나눌 수 있었다. 먼저, 외부적 요인으로 지리적 입지요인과 보호자의 상황요인 그리고 시설의 입소비용요인이 있었다. 또한, 내부적 요인으로는 종사자의 서비스요인과 시설의 위생서비스요인, 의료서비스요인 그리고 프로그램서비스요인으로 구분되었다. 각 요인들의 의미를 분석한 결과 특정요인에 의한 결정보다는 여러 요인들이 현 상황과 맞물려 복합적으로 작용하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 향후 도시지역의 결정요인에 대한 연구가 진행되어 서로 비교함으로써 차이점을 연구하는 것도 의의가 있겠다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the determinants that prioritize the caregivers of the recipients who use the facilities in selecting them. For this reason, we used qualitative research methods through individual in-depth interviews and group interviews after carefully selecting actual guardians who are serving the recipients at the elderly care facilities in rural areas of Gangwon-do, Gun and Myeon units. Through the analysis process according to Van Manen (1990), the meanings dictated by the study participants were identified, understood, and interpreted. As a result, the determinants of facility selection were largely divided into external factors and internal factors. First, as external factors, there were geographical location factors, guardian’s situation factors, and facility admission cost factors. In addition, internal factors were divided into service factors of workers, hygiene service factors of facilities, medical service factors, and program service factors. As a result of analyzing the meaning of each factor, it was found that several factors are intertwined with the current situation and act in a complex way, rather than a decision made by a specific factor. In the future, research on the determinants of urban areas will be conducted, and it will be meaningful to study the differences by comparing them with each other.
