G-TELP 영어 능력 평가 검사 문법 영역의 신뢰도와 타당도 분석

Abstract

본 연구에서는 Rasch 측정모형을 이용해서 공인영어 평가시험에서 사용되는 G-TELP 레벨검사를 구성하고 있는 문법, 청취, 독해 영역 중에서 문법 영역의 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증하였다. 연구대상은 G-TELP 레벨검사에 응시한 피험자 500명을 무선 표집해서 응답한 자료를 가지고 분석에 활용하였다. 분석 결과를 제시하면 다음과 같다. 문법 영역의 점수분포는 부적 편포의 모양을 나타내고 있으며, 문항 내적 일관성 신뢰도는 0.82로 높게 나타났다. 타당도 분석 결과, 검사 문항들이 피험자들의 능력 분포를 잘 변별하고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 개별 문항 적합도 분석결과 역시 부적합한 문항은 없는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 분석 결과를 바탕으로 G-TELP 문법 영역에 대한 시사점 및 후속 연구를 제안하였다.

This study set out to test the reliability and validity of the G-TELP Level Test, which is used in official English evaluations and examinations. The study used the Rasch model to analyze the areas of grammar. The subjects consisted of 500 individuals that took the G-TELP Level Test and were selected through random sampling. Their responses were used in the analysis. The findings are summarized as follows. First, the grammar section showed a positively skewed distribution with a high inter-item consistency reliability score of 0.819. The analysis of individual items in fitness showed that most items were adequate at discriminating the abilities of the subjects. Second, reliability analysis showed that the test was at an appropriate level. The validity analysis revealed that the test items were adequate at discriminating the ability distribution of the subjects. The study analyzed the individual items and found that no items were unfit. Based on the research results, the analysis of listening and reading comprehension area should be conducted.
