- Abstract
- In this study, a passive damping system based on multilayer (Bi,Sc)O-3-(Pb,Ti)O-3 piezoelectric ceramics was investigated by using a drop-weight impact technique. The ceramics were prepared by employing a traditional solid-state reaction. A drop weight of 0.75 kg was applied to the area of 10x10 mm(2). Furthermore, measured and simulated output energies were compared and analyzed. The generated power was calculated through the output voltage and current, where as the simulated power was obtained by employing the impedance-matching method.
