어포던스에 대한 어린이집 교사들의 인식 및 현장 활용사례 분석 연구

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 영유아의 자율적이고 주도적인 보육과정 실현을 위해 어린이집 현장에서의 어포던스 적용에 대한 어린이집 교사의 인식과 활용사례를 알아보고자 한다. 이를 위해 어린이집 교사 8인을 대상으로 심층면담을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구 참여자들은 어포던스가 영유아의 주도적인 놀이참여, 놀이몰입, 놀이확장과 건강하고 안전한 일상생활 지원에 많은 도움이 될 것이라 인식하고 있었다. 또한 어포던스가 모든 영유아와 교사의 성장을 지원할 수 있을 것이라 이야기 하였다. 둘째, 어린이집에서의 어포던스 활용은 물리적 어포던스가 인지적 어포던스 보다 많이 활용되고 있으며, 영유아의 발달과 특성을 고려한 기능적 어포던스와 감각적 어포던스의 지원을 동시에 받는 작용흐름이 가장 많이 활용되는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 통해 연구 참여자들의 어포던스의 현장 적용에 있어 긍정적인 인식을 가지고 있으며, 현장에서의 어포던스 활용 가능성을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구는 어린이집에서의 어포던스의 효율적인 적용에 대한 구체적인 방안을 모색하고 영유아교육기관에서 영유아의 자율적인 발달을 지원하는 어포던스적 환경 구현의 방향성에 대한 기초자료로서 의의를 가지고 있다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the perception and use cases of daycare center teachers on the application of affordance in the daycare center field in order to realize an autonomous and leading curriculum for children. To this end, in-depth interviews were conducted with eight daycare center teachers. The results of the study are as follows. First, the study participants recognized that affordance would be of great help to children’s leading participation in play, play immersion, play expansion, and support for healthy and safe daily life. It also believed that affordance will be able to support the growth of all children. Second, in the use of affordance in daycare centers, physical affordance is used more than cognitive affordance, and the flow of action that is supported by functional affordance and sensory affordance considering the development and characteristics of children is the most used. These results indicate that the study participants have a positive perception of the application of affordance in the field, and there is a strong possibility of using affordance in the field. This study is significant as it provides basic data on the direction of implementing an affordance environment that seeks specific measures for the efficient application of affordance in daycare centers and supports the autonomous development of children in childhood education institutions.
