예비유아교사의 일상적 수학경험에 대한 스토리텔링의 의미

Abstract

본 연구는 예비유아교사를 대상으로 한 유아수학교육수업에서 일상적 수학경험에 관한 스토리텔링하기의 의미를 밝히는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 서울 소재 4년제 대학 유아교육과에서 유아수학교육을 수강하는 4학년 학생 21명을 대상으로 한 학기동안 일상적 수학경험 스토리텔링을 실시하였고, 스토리텔링 전사자료, 토의 기록자료, 개별 저널, 심층 면담 기록자료를 수집하여 질적 분석을 하였다. 연구결과, 일상적 수학경험 스토리텔링의 의미는 세 가지 측면에서 다음과 같이 나타났다. 첫째, 지식적 측면에서 ‘수 이상의 수학 내용 인식’과 ‘수학내용지식의 이해 심화’이다. 둘째, 기술적 측면에서 ‘수학적 사고의 생활화’와 ‘협력적 수학탐구하기’이다. 셋째, 태도적 측면에서 ‘수학에 대한 긍정적 태도 함양’과 ‘수학의 유용성 인식’이다.

This paper attempts to enlighten the meaning of storytelling about mathematical experience in daily life for teacher students who enrolled in early childhood mathematics education. 21 senior university students majoring in early childhood education had participated in mathematical storytelling for a semester. Storytelling scripts, discussion records, individual journals and in-depth interview records were collected and processed qualitative analysis. The result provided the meaning of mathematical storytelling from three aspects. In terms of cognitive aspect, mathematical storytelling has improved the recognition of the mathematical contents more than the number itself. Also, it deepened the understanding of mathematical content knowledge. In terms of performance, mathematical storytelling enriched the mathematical thinking in daily life and cooperative mathematical exploration. In terms of attitude, positive stance towards mathematics and the recognition of mathematics' usefulness have increased.
