Abstract
This paper examines the post-Soviet cultural policy in Russia varying after the collapse of the Soviet Union. According to S. S. Zagrebin’s periodization of the post-Soviet cultural policy (1991-1998, 2000-2006, 2007-2015), this research analyzes the current cultural policy of 2016, summarizing the outline of the post-Soviet cultural policy. In addition, this paper investigates the major tasks and strategies of the document Публичная декларация целей и задач Минкультуры на 2016 год, emphasizing the significance of 2016 in carrying out the Russian cultural policy. The study on the post-Soviet Russian cultural policy (after 1991) is well-timed and worthy of research in many ways. It contributes to supplement insufficient existing research, help understand what the Russian government seeks for in the 21 century, and, especially, suggest new and various ideas for a better relationship between South Korea and Russia.
