Abstract
본 연구는 보육교사의 교사 효능감과 자기개발 욕구 간의 관계를 살펴보고, 교사 효능감이 자기개발 욕구에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 알아보는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 서울 및 경기도 지역에 소재한 어린이집에 근무하는 보육교사 264명이다. 연구도구는 보육교사의 교사 효능감을 살펴보기 위하여 Enochs와 Riggs(1990)가 제작한 과학 교수 효능감 검사 도구를 신혜영(2004)이 어린이집 상황에 맞게 적절한 문항으로 수정·보완한 것을 사용하였고, 보육교사의 자기개발 욕구는 김성희(2003)가 개발한 척도를 본 연구자가 어린이집 상황에 맞게 수정·보완하여 사용하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 보육교사의 교사 효능감과 자기개발 욕구가 평균보다 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 보육교사의 교사 효능감과 자기개발 욕구 모두 정적인 상관관계를 나타냈다. 셋째, 보육교사의 교사 효능감은 자기개발 욕구에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
The purpose of this study is to analyze relationship between child care teacher's teacher efficacy and desire for self-development, and to examine whether there are any influence of child care teacher's teacher efficacy on desire for self-development. The subjects of this study are 264 child care teachers who work at child care centers where are located in Seoul, Gyeonggi Province area. The following are three questionnaire tools that were used in this study. First, to examine child care teachers' teacher efficacy, this study uses Enochs and Riggs's(1990) Science Teaching Efficacy Belief Instrument(STEBI) modified and supplemented by Shin, Hae-Young(2004) to meet the circumstances of child care centers. Second, to find out the level of teachers' awareness on desire for self-development, the study uses the questionnaire of desire for self-development developed by Kim, Sung-Hee(2003) and i re-modified and supplemented Kim, Sung-Hee's(2003) questionnaire to meet the circumstances of child care centers. The results of this study are as follows. First, The score of child care teacher's teacher efficacy and desire for self-development was shown a little higher than the average. And teacher efficacy, desire for self-development were higher in the order. Second, The correlation between child care teacher's teacher efficacy and desire for self-development was all significant. Third, child care teacher's teacher efficacy influenced desire for self-development.
