Abstract
Attempts and research using artificial intelligence in Chinese language education have been carried out recently, and if a Chinese language review program using artificial intelligence is developed and used, learners can use smart devices or PCs to practice conversation and do assigned tasks without being limited by study space or time. In this study, we attempted to develop a Chinese language review program using voice-based artificial intelligence, considering the fact that although learning pronunciation is very important when starting to learn Chinese, it is difficult for teachers to individually check pronunciation for students who begin learning Chinese through liberal arts Chinese flanguage courses. To develop the program, we used three programs: Closer.I, Dialogflow, and Chatbot. By accessing Chinese learning through the chatbot, presenting a menu using Closer.I, and reviewing through Dialogflow, learners were able to check their own pronunciation. In this study, problems that occurred during program development were analyzed and learners' responses were also examined.
