- Abstract
- This study presents the optimization method of output power and stability in asymmetric signals using a Wilkinson Power Combiner (WPC). To optimize performance, this paper proposes a two-step approach: first, adjusting the resistor of the WPC, and second, employing an asymmetric Output matching network (OMN) to ensure that each power amplifier (PA) is matched to its optimum impedance. Using the proposed method, three types of prototypes were fabricated and measured at 0.8 GHz, demonstrating a 2.9 dB improvement in output power compared to the conventional structure and achieving an approximately equal phase margin of 141° at the two PAs output node. © 2025 IEEE.
