- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of the Professor guiding beliefs perceived by street dance majors on value recognition (major value, self-value) and career decision-making self-efficacy (career exploration, problem solving, career decision). This study is a street dance major (college student), and the survey was conducted for about 90 days from November 1, 2023, to January 31, 2024 in Seoul and Chungnam, and a total of 190 samples were collected. This study con- ducted a structural equation model analysis using a total of two stat- istical programs, SPSS and Smart PLS, and the analysis results are sum- marized as follows.
(1) It was found that the guiding belief of the Professor majoring in street dance had a statistically significant positive (+) effect on the value perception (major value, self-value) of the major (college student). (2) The guiding belief of the Professor majoring in street dance and the value perception (major value, self-value) of the major (college student) were found to have a statistically significant positive (+) effect on career exploration. (3) The guiding belief of the Professor majoring in street dance and the value perception (major value, self-value) of the major (college student) were found to have a statistically significant positive (+) effect on problem solving. (4) It was found that the guiding belief of the Professor majoring in street dance and the value perception (major value, self-value) of the major (college student) had a statistically significant positive (+) effect on career decision. (5) The guiding belief of the Professor majoring in street dance → the major value of the major (college student) → career decision-making self-efficacy (career explora- tion, problem solving, and career decision-making path) had a mediating effect.
