Abstract

Disney 3D animation is referred the animation that has been produced since the Disney and Pixar’s merger. It is the research on leading contents to understand Disney 3D animation storytelling and wave for change, as the Disney 3D animation is taking initiative in released movie in the world. Disney 3D animation should be concentrated in the respect that it started from 2D animation and has a correlation with Pixar animation. Therefore in this study it is focused how the text is different with the storytelling strategy of Disney animation between Pixar animation rather than the characteristic of 3D animation technique. And it’s based on the analysis and evaluation on how it’s effective. The storytelling strategy of the products produced since Disney and Pixar’s merger can be understood in the context that Pixar has pursued to try to make a new one with accumulated stories and the differentiation with Disney’s tradition. As the strategy, creating pleasure overwhelming Disney animation’s narrative structure, is changed to the perfect conservative narrative of Pixar animation. Disney 3d animation made it maximize the stability of narrative structure studied with consistent enjoyment clearly with the Pixar and Disney’s advantages. As the 3D animation <Toy Story III>’s embedded technique belongs to the storytelling, the media’s character is clearly maximized . It doesn’t stop to try narrative perfection, but it tries to try spectacle vision and relax the narrative tension. The tradition, that one can grow up through adventure and search with a variety of characters, rather brought the result of showing the typical aspects and weakening the depth of the story. This structure of initiation story haven’t succeeded yet in spite of the trial to enhance adults’ immersion and loyalty, since it is in connection with the problem whether the creative internalization of Disneyfication can effectively converge to the Pixar’s style or not.
