Abstract
이종접합 광트랜지스터(heterojunction phototransistor)와 전계흡수 변조기(electroabsorption modulator)를 결합하여 수동형 피코셀 radio-over-fiber 시스템의 효율을 증가시키는 방법에 대해 알아본다. 본 논문에서는 광트랜지스터의 base 두께와 minority carrier diffusion length에 따른 광 이득(optical gain)의 변화를 살펴보고, 이에 따른 피코셀 크기의 변화에 대해 논의한다.
