- Abstract
- The external compensation of AMOLED pixels that is regarded as essential for large-area displays needs a random access gate driver to select any gate line in vertical blank time. Also, for high-resolution, high-frame-rate, and large-area displays, a gate driver with overlap driving is needed for high pixel charging ratio. In this study, a decoder-based random access gate driver with overlap driving is proposed and verified by HSPICE simulation and fabrication of the circuits with a-IGZO TFTs. The proposed decoder composed of TFTs in parallel enables the random access and overlap driving without increase in circuit area andpower consumption.
