Abstract
In accordance with emission regulation, the research of environmentally friendly vehicles has been accelerating. Many powertrain topologies of electric vehicle have been studied. Among them, All-wheel-drive electric vehicle with two motors has advantages in energy consumption aspect because power distribution ratio between 2 motors can be adjusted for operating motors in high efficiency regions. In this study, we conducted modeling for all-wheel-drive electric vehicle with two motors and 2-speed transmission. Also, we conducted global optimization for optimal power distribution ratio using dynamic programming. The optimal result was compared with constant power distribution ratios. Then, motor’s torque, speed and operating points were analyzed. It was confirmed that energy consumption of battery was improved.
