- Abstract
- Lead-free 0.94Bi(0.5)Na(0.5)TiO(3)-0.06BaTiO(3) ceramics exhibit excellent piezoelectric properties. In this research, Ta dopants was introduced to 0.94Bi(0.5)Na(0.5)TiO(3)-0.06BaTiO(3) piezoelectric ceramics to improve piezoelectric properties. The sintering temperature was optimized to increase the piezoelectric properties and harvesting energy. By introducing the Ta dopants, piezoelectric constant was improved from 160 pC/N to 172 pC/N. The piezoelectric material properties of Ta doped 0.94Bi(0.5)Na(0.5)TiO(3)-0.06BaTiO(3) were analyzed for energy harvesting applications. Piezoelectric constant, electromechanical coupling coefficient, and electric field dependent polarization were measured and compared for device applications.
